EWI Recruitment seeks a Senior Construction Superintendent to lead complex construction projects from mobilisation to completion on site in Tallahassee, FL. You will oversee construction managers, engineers and subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to programmes, budgets and specifications.

Ideal candidates have substantial senior site management experience, with qualifications in construction or engineering and health & safety training.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to lead the delivery of complex construction projects from mobilisation through to completion. This is a site-based leadership role, responsible for coordinating construction activities, maintaining high standards of safety and quality, and ensuring works are delivered in line with approved programmes, budgets, specifications and contractual requirements. The successful candidate will provide visible leadership across the project team and promote a professional, collaborative and accountable working environment.

Key responsibilities will include managing day-to-day site operations; supervising construction managers, engineers, subcontractors and site personnel; reviewing construction methodologies, drawings and specifications; and coordinating labour, plant, materials and access requirements. You will monitor progress against programme milestones, identify potential delays and implement practical recovery plans where required. The role will also involve chairing site meetings, maintaining accurate records, supporting commercial and procurement activities, and liaising with clients, consultants, statutory authorities and other project stakeholders. You will ensure that all works comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, environmental requirements and approved quality procedures.

Applicants should have substantial experience in a senior site or construction management position, with a proven record of delivering large-scale or technically complex projects. A relevant construction, engineering or building qualification is desirable, together with recognised health and safety training and appropriate site management certification. Strong knowledge of construction methods, project controls, risk management and quality assurance is essential. You will need excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, as well as the confidence to make timely decisions in a demanding environment. The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities and build effective relationships at every level will be central to your success. A flexible approach to working hours and travel may be required depending on project needs.
