Job summary

Pavarini Northeast in New Haven, CT is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on ground-up commercial projects in the New Haven/Groton area. You will manage subcontractors, coordinate daily activities, ensure safety, and maintain project schedules with the Project Manager and client reps.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of field experience in commercial construction, strong supervisory background, and excellent communications and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Experience with some supervisory responsibility as a General Foreman, Field Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• Well developed, communications, interpersonal, organizational and team work skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule, maintains reports describing project status.
• Oversees field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontracted work forces.
• Reviews status and progress with the Project Manager and client representatives.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs sub contractor activities within ground up Residential projects.
• Analyzes manpower, material, equipment requirements and interfaces with others as designated by supervising superintendent.
• Implements policies, procedures and work rules established by field Management.
• Prepares reports and forecasts and keeps supervisors informed on progress of activities.
• Ensures safety standards and safe operation of tools and equipment.
