Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a Senior Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and institutional projects in the Leesburg area. The role focuses on coordinating subcontractors and crews, enforcing safety standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with ground-up construction, government contracting, and a proven track record on complex facilities such as schools and hospitals.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
• Associate degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field.
• 10–15 years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor on commercial or institutional projects, including schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings.
• 7+ years of government contracting experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations for commercial and institutional construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field crews to ensure safety, quality and progress.
• Maintain project safety, quality and schedule; manage site logistics and inspections.
• Monitor budgets and communicate with stakeholders to mitigate risks.

Senior Construction Superintendent

Job Type: Direct Hire

Starting Salary: $127,000/year — higher compensation available based on experience

Position Overview

We are hiring a Senior Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial and institutional construction projects. This position is responsible for coordinating subcontractors and field crews while maintaining project safety, quality, and progress.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance
• Associate degree in Construction Management, Building Construction, or a related field
• 10–15 years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor on commercial or institutional projects, including schools, hospitals, and commercial buildings
• 7+ years of government contracting experience
• Proven experience delivering ground-up commercial construction projects, not solely renovations
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and other construction-related software
• Able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Physically capable of regularly walking active job sites and using stairs and ladders to inspect work, coordinate subcontractors and field personnel, and monitor safety and quality
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must be able to pick up materials from suppliers when needed
• Current OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR credentials
• Current CQC certification issued by USACE/NAVFAC

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience overseeing construction projects valued at $10M–$40M
• Current OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR credentials
