Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Commercial Superintendent to lead daily on-site operations for high-value commercial projects in the Washington, DC area. You will oversee safety, scheduling, field activities, and subcontractor coordination to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management and/or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of field operations experience on large commercial projects
• Experience managing a large team of subcontractors and 15+ trades
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create, update and manage construction schedules (P6 a plus)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong people skills and team collaboration
• Ability to multi-task and self-start in a fast-paced environment

Job Details

The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for the setup and management of the daily activities of assigned projects resulting in work that is completed on-time, profitably, and of award winning caliber. Superintendents have the primary responsibility for overall safety, schedule management, field operations, subcontractor management, financial management, and assist in Pre-Construction Services (estimating & purchasing). Superintendents also help mentor and foster an environment of on-going learning and development on their teams – you’ll have the opportunity to leverage your experience and expertise to the benefit of your teams.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management and/or equivalent experience
• 3+ Years of progressively responsible field operations experience in general contracting environment, including, at a minimum, verifiable experience managing projects over $15M.
• Experience managing a large team of subcontractors and over 15 trades
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create, update and manage construction schedules. Experience with P6 a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to establish priorities, meet firm deadlines, and problem-solve
• Strong people skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
• Must be goal oriented and a self-starter
