Qualifications:

The candidate for the construction superintendent position should possess the following experience and qualifications:

• At least 10 years in the commercial construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years as a construction superintendent.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Leadership desire and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Knowledge and skills in cast-in-place concrete, rough and finish carpentry, door hardware, drywall, finishing, and painting.
• Familiarity with site development, steel and wood frame structures, building interiors and exteriors, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
• Thorough understanding of construction contracts and professional interaction with subcontractors, architects, and owners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for the construction superintendent include:

• Supervising and leading subcontractors, managing safety, quality, and efficiency on-site.
• Maintaining current project documentation, including daily reports, photos, and logs.
• Holding regular project meetings.
• Collaborating with the project manager to develop and maintain the project schedule.
• Ensuring project activities are completed on time and within budget.
• Reading, interpreting, and communicating scopes of work from drawings, specifications, and addenda.
