Job summary

Deltek, Inc. seeks a Senior Construction Specifications Writer to update and create specification content for MasterSpec and related platforms. You will research product literature, ensure compliance with MasterFormat, and collaborate with consultants and internal teams to publish accurate content for building projects.

The role requires extensive architecture or engineering experience, BIM and Revit familiarity, and strong writing skills. Travel up to 10%. The position offers a competitive U.S.

Qualifications

• Registered architect or licensed engineer preferred; CSI CDT with CCS/CCCA preferred; LEED AP a plus.
• 10+ years in architecture or engineering disciplines related to building construction.
• Minimum 5 years editing or writing specification sections; familiar with MasterFormat and Uniformat.

Responsibilities

• Update existing specification content and create new content by researching product literature and standards.
• Guide external consultants, define scope, perform technical reviews, and shepherd content to publication.
• Evaluate products for inclusion based on technical knowledge and writing norms.
• Collaborate with Deltek departments on Specpoint enhancements and other initiatives.
• Respond to questions from customers and internal staff; ensure compliance with internal style guides.
• Make occasional presentations and write thought leadership pieces related to specifications.
