Job summary

Gonzaga University Institute for Climate, Water, and the Environment seeks a Senior Construction Manager & Space Planner to lead planning, design, and construction of campus space and buildings. The role includes stewardship of space inventory and serving as the in-house owner's representative on a full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, planning, real estate, business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in capital project management, construction management, design management, or facilities planning with budgets and schedules.
• Experience managing the full project lifecycle — owner/representative or similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contracts.
• Experience procuring and managing design consultants and construction firms with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior leadership and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, procurement, construction, and occupancy for capital projects.
• Develop and control project budgets; monitor estimates and cash flow.
• Procure architects, engineers, and contractors; manage performance.
• Establish space standards and manage campus space inventory.
• Support space governance and committee activities.
