Job summary

Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA seeks a Senior Construction Manager & Space Planner to lead planning, design, and construction of campus space and buildings. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Five to seven years of experience in capital project management, with direct responsibility for budgets and schedules.
• Experience managing full project lifecycle as owner/owner's representative.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills for space and capital projects.
• Experience with space management systems and FICM space classification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the University's in-house owner's representative on capital projects from initiation to closeout.
• Manage design teams, construction progress, quality, safety, submittals and change orders.
• Own and maintain campus space inventory and develop space needs analyses and programming studies.
• Support Space Planning Review Committee and space governance policies.
• Develop and control total project budgets and cost estimates.
• Procure and manage architects, engineers, and contractors and consultants.
• Negotiate and administer design and construction agreements.
• Develop standards for AEC practice and space-management technology.
• Partner with AVP on near- and long-term planning and major capital projects.
