Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Sourcing Specialist, Construction, to drive strategic procurement for Starship Program infrastructure. You will shape supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and lead cost-reduction initiatives across major construction categories.

The role requires advanced sourcing skills, stakeholder management, and a track record of driving value while meeting project timelines. Onsite work at Starbase, TX; travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree; or bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Supply chain, Purchasing, Contract negotiation, Material or production planning, Operations management, Material cost control, or Master production scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive contract management process for project execution.
• Create sourcing strategies to reduce risk and meet purchasing targets, including terms, cash targets and cost savings.
• Build relationships to create strategic sourcing models that maximize value for business unit requirements and drive cost reductions.
• Communicate, manage, and enforce category strategies, and monitor KPIs and SLAs for suppliers.
• Identify and execute cost reduction projects with stakeholders, including planning and progress updates.
• Conduct quantitative analyses to assess financial impacts and cost improvements for assigned categories.
• Benchmark and research market conditions for assigned categories to support decision making.
• Collaborate with legal to create contract documents and manage supplier performance against terms.
