Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Sr. Site Manager to lead daily operations of installation staff during construction, testing, and commissioning of project systems. You will support the Project Manager with budget, site processes, and compliance for installation requirements.

The role requires 7+ years in construction management in parcel handling, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate schedules, drawings, and subcontractor activities on industrial facilities. Travel 80-90% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in construction, engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years in Construction Management in parcel material handling or related sectors.
• Experience overseeing mechanical and electrical subcontractors in industrial renovations.
• OSHA 30-hour safety card required.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for project site technical, contractual, budget, and schedule activities within site management and installation teams.
• Plan project development and pre-construction activities including scheduling, estimating, and staffing.
• Coordinate issued-for-construction drawings, specification reviews, and approvals.
• Lead on behalf of the Site team, construction coordination and documentation (pre-construction conference, weekly and monthly progress meetings).
• Work with Procurement to develop scope of work packages and confirm scope and bids with subcontractors and vendors for proposals.
• Develop site execution plans and manage the commissioning process.
• Coordinate construction RFI process and ensure safety compliance (OSHA).
