Job summary

Project Support Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Scheduler IV to provide scheduling and project-controls support for large capital construction programs within the Los Angeles Community College District’s BuildLACCD program.

The ideal candidate will have advanced Primavera skills, critical-path and earned-value analyses, time-impact analyses, and strong cost engineering expertise, with excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera scheduling software.
• Strong knowledge of the theories, principles, and practices of cost engineering and scheduling.
• Experience performing time-impact analyses and construction claims.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of project schedules based on project execution strategies.
• Review contractor schedules for conformance and quality assurance.
• Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for effects on budgets and schedules.
• Perform time-impact analyses of project delays and potential construction claims.
• Participate in change-order negotiations.
• Perform critical-path and earned-value analyses.
• Identify schedule-related problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct construction and project-site visits to assess progress and support reporting.
• Review contractors’ weekly and monthly schedule progress, prepare narratives, and present recommendations to management.
• Review and evaluate contractor recovery schedules.
• Perform cost analyses supporting design and construction phases and analyze expenditures against budgets.
• Prepare cost-loaded schedules to support cash-flow projections.
• Interpret and apply BuildLACCD contracts, policies, and procedures.
