Job summary

Electric Company is seeking a highly motivated Construction Planner to support our commercial and industrial projects in Charlotte, Raleigh, or Greensboro NC. The role focuses on detailed scheduling from concept through construction, coordinating with preconstruction teams and site staff.

You will develop resource and cost-loaded schedules, analyze changes, and provide leadership with accurate progress reports. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects.
• 2+ years direct scheduling experience in critical path management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication presentation skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule projects from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
• Develop resource- and cost-loaded schedules with milestones and deliverables.
• Create schedule logic, realistic activity durations, and resource requirements.
• Assess design changes and schedule slippages; inform leadership of all schedule updates.
• Apply knowledge of construction terminology to develop and maintain critical path networks.
• Access historical data to improve future planning and forecasting.
• Provide guidance and specialized assistance for resolving project control problems.
• Interface with clients, attend meetings, and provide statistical reports.
• Travel to project sites and other offices to participate in meetings and update schedules.
