Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Construction Scheduler in McKinney, TX to own CPM scheduling on large K12 and commercial projects. This on-site, permanent role focuses on building schedules from plans, coordinating with field teams, and driving critical path adherence.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in commercial construction, expert MS Project skills, and a track record leading/mentoring schedulers. OSHA 30 required; PMI-SP/CCM a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks early and develop recovery/mitigation plans.
• Communicate impacts of delays, changes, weather, or procurement to teams and leadership.

Job Details

• Build complete CPM schedules from construction documents with minimal input from project teams
• Develop preliminary and conceptual schedules from schematic designs and early-stage information
• Manage multiple active project schedules at the same time
• Review schedules built by others for logic, sequencing, and critical path accuracy
• Spot schedule risks early and develop recovery and mitigation plans
• Evaluate delays, owner changes, weather, and procurement impacts, then communicate them to project teams and leadership

Requirements

• 10 or more years of commercial construction experience with substantial field operations exposure
• Superintendent experience strongly preferred
• 7 or more years building and managing CPM schedules
• Expert level Microsoft Project skills
• Deep understanding of logic ties, float management, and critical path methodology
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and contract documents
• Experience leading, mentoring, or reviewing the work of other schedulers or project controls staff
• OSHA 30 required
• PSP, PMI-SP, or CCM certification a plus
• K12, commercial, industrial, or mission critical experience preferred
