Job summary

McGraw Kokosing is seeking a Safety Specialist to support field operations in the construction industry. This role focuses on implementing safety and health policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across projects.

Bachelor degree in Safety and Health with 5+ years of construction safety experience preferred; OSHA 30/10 or higher certifications are a plus. Strong communication and leadership skills are required to coordinate with field teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Safety and Health or equivalent.
• Targeting 5+ years of experience in construction safety preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations and other safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies for reducing injuries and incidents on projects.
• Provide training and education to personnel on safety and health requirements.
• Support pre-job safety planning meetings and emergency response plans.
• Develop and issue safety plans on time in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead safety meetings and training programs to communicate safety policies.
• Conduct safety audits and document findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in investigating injuries and liability incidents.
• Coordinate program updates with team members and regulators.
