Job summary

Novisal is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to manage safety on major infrastructure projects in Manhattan, NYC. You will oversee demolition and construction safety, implement the Accident Prevention Program, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualified candidates will have 3-5 years of on-site safety, strong reporting and communication skills, and certifications such as NYC DOB 40-Hr Site Safety Manager and OSHA 30-Hr Construction.

Qualifications

• Secure knowledge of federal, state, and local occupational health and safety regulations.
• 3-5 years of on-site construction safety experience.
• Demonstrated, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and generate written reports as necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively and consistently with a wide range of personnel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is a must.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting and competing priorities.
• Considerable skill working both independently and as part of a team required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and security at construction sites for NYC agencies including MTA.
• Provide safety oversight of demolition and construction activities.
• Implement and enforce the Accident Prevention Program for each work site.
• Enforce relevant federal, state and local regulations.
• Help implement and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans and Site Work Plans.
• Conduct Environmental Health & Safety Site Audits to ensure compliance.
• Conduct accident investigations, root cause analyses and corrective actions development.
• Conduct safety meetings as required.
• Ensure compliance for the safety of site workers and the general public.
• Maintain Daily Safety Logs and photo records to help correct deficiencies.
