Job summary

ProSource Group in New York City seeks an experienced Site Safety Manager for its NYC projects. You will oversee safety across active construction sites, enforce requirements, and work with leadership, field teams and subcontractors to maintain a safe, compliant environment.

This role requires a NYC DOB Site Safety Manager license, OSHA 30, 62-Hour SST Card, 3+ years in site safety, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active NYC DOB Site Safety Manager License required.
• Minimum 3 years' site safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• 62-Hour SST Card.
• Leadership experience on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of NYC construction safety practices.
• Willingness to travel to NYC projects.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

A well-established New York City General Contractor is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to join its team.

The successful candidate will oversee and enforce safety requirements across active NYC construction projects, working closely with project leadership, field teams and subcontractors to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and enforce project safety requirements
• Conduct daily site safety walkthroughs
• Provide safety orientations to site personnel
• Identify hazards and implement corrective measures
• Investigate accidents and near misses
• Maintain required safety documentation and reporting
• Ensure field personnel and subcontractors comply with established safety procedures
• Issue corrective/disciplinary action where necessary
• Communicate potential hazards to project leadership and site personnel

Requirements:

• Active NYC DOB Site Safety Manager License – Required
• Minimum 3 years' Site Safety experience
• OSHA 30
• 62-Hour SST Card
• Previous construction safety leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of NYC construction safety practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel to projects throughout NYC

Compensation:

• $165,000–$185,000 Base
