Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Chicago, IL seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects including heavy civil and federal work under USACE/NAVFAC requirements. You will write the QC plan, run three-phase meetings, and be responsible for all test results and nonconformances.

You will supervise QC inspectors, coordinate lab testing and certifications, and drive NCR processes with owners and subcontractors.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors or field staff.
Certification in USACE/NAVFAC related programs preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication for owner coordination.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present results in QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
