Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Florida seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the QC program on large civil, industrial, or federal projects under USACE/NAVFAC requirements. You’ll direct field inspectors and ensure all tests and nonconformances are properly documented.

You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, and coordinate testing, certifications, and NCR follow-ups, with travel to active sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency;
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work;
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians;
• assign daily coverage and review their reports;
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings;
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
