Thompson Construction Group, Inc. seeks a Quality Control Inspector to oversee ITP implementation, review materials to ASTM requirements, and supervise QC records on site.

The role involves ensuring construction adheres to plans, specs, and applicable codes, while generating NCRs and verifying welds and coatings. Ideal candidates will have VT Level II or CWI certification, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to navigate code books.

Formación

• 5 years of work experience in the construction field.
• Able to navigate Code books and technical manuals.
• Proficient at understanding construction drawings.
• Familiarity with structural bolting methods and welding inspection.

Responsabilidades

• Generate documentation to provide assurance of compliance to contract requirements, ITPs and QA Manual.
• Maintain QA records in an orderly, accessible and secure manner.
• Follow SOPs for Quality Control on field work and document when required.
• Ensure materials, workmanship and construction meet plans, specs, and codes.
• Generate Non Conformance Reports for non-compliant conditions.
• Be knowledgeable of assigned inspection criteria.
• Require defective work/material to be corrected until compliant.
• Approve receipt of materials per ASTM requirements.
• Accept or reject welds based on written criteria.
• Perform dimensional checks on materials.
• Coach Craft in quality program processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
