Job summary

Bristol Infrastructure Design Services, LLC seeks a Construction Engineer Technician to support NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic facilities design at MCAS Beaufort, SC. The CET will lead quality control, coordinate safety, and witness tests across complex military-scale projects.

The role requires extensive QA/QC expertise, crane safety knowledge, and coordination with CM and contractors to maintain schedule and compliance.

Qualifications

5 years as Quality Control Manager on NAVFAC/USACE projects or 10 years as foreman in concrete/mechanical/electrical/masonry/carpentry on commercial/industrial/military projects.

Responsibilities

Coordinate construction quality management program across projects.
Review and recommend approval of contractor quality control plan.
Attend QC, preparatory, and initial meetings; monitor three-phase checklists.
Comment on Government QA reports and contractor QC reports with focus on critical work.
Take and file progress photos; verify materials for pay approvals.
Witness tests and reviews of test reports and results; ensure safety compliance.
Lead safety stand-downs and manage non-compliance actions with contractors.
Coordinate utility hookups, permits, and site safety assessments.
Assist with investigations of defects and coordination of turnover and as-builts within project timelines.
