Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Southern California seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead the project QA/QC Plan, coordinate with project team, owners and architects, and ensure contract compliance.

You will supervise QA/QC staff, develop procedures, manage inspections and testing, and drive continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of construction QA experience, with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least five years of construction experience or equivalent education and training.
• Knowledge of the construction process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Turner's project management software and leadership skills.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Proven leadership qualities and skills with the desire to teach and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and develop the project QA/QC Plan and administer its implementation.
• Manage QA/QC staff and ensure qualified oversight on site.
• Maintain collaboration with owners, architects, consultants and subcontractors to ensure compliance.
• Lead and develop all QA/QC staff, including conducting performance appraisals.
• Ensure adherence to ethics and compliance requirements.
• Execute QA/QC activities to align with contract documents and project schedule.
• Coordinate QA/QC procedures with the project safety plan and resolve non-compliance.
