Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Austin, TX is seeking a Quality Assurance - Quality Control Engineer to implement the project QA/QC Plan and ensure compliance with contract documents. You will plan, monitor, document and report quality performance on-site, coordinating with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and vendors.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with five years of construction experience, strong computer skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Turner’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of five years' experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Knowledge of the construction process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.
• Strong computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Turner's project management software and leadership skills.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the project-specific QA/QC Plan with scopes of work and work procedures.
• Implement project-specific QA/QC Plan in coordination with the project safety plan.
• Conduct testing and inspections and arrange for third-party testing and inspections.
• Oversight of the development of Daily Construction Reports (DCRs) and punch lists.
• Direct removal and replacement of non-compliant materials/workmanship and document compliance after corrective work.
