Job summary

NYC School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) is seeking a Project Officer - III to manage and coordinate personnel, budget, administration and operational activities for school construction projects from conception through opening.

Responsibilities include coordinating phasing and scheduling, ensuring schedules align with contractual costs, and guiding on-site change orders while maintaining safety and code compliance. Strong leadership and contractor liaison skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Eight years of full time experience in construction/design fields, with three years managing all phases of projects similar in scale to NYCSCA.
• Strong budget, scheduling and policy development experience preferred.
• Knowledge of contract documents, procurement and change orders is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate phasing and scheduling of projects to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.
• Identify errors, omissions, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee field coordination among contractors, architects, and school personnel.
