Job summary

Vistra Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to plan and execute construction projects across the Vistra fleet, including thermal, solar, energy storage, and new developments. You will lead construction activities, manage contractors, and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and commissioning managers to ensure safety, timely completion, and adherence to design specifications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years relevant experience in power generation operations, maintenance, engineering, budgeting, and contractor management.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, creative problem solving and team building.
• Occasional long, irregular hours with travel; may work in excess of 12 hours per day and seven consecutive days.

Responsibilities

• Lead large scale projects from early conception to final completion.
• Negotiate Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts.
• Plan construction activities per Vistra standards and develop site-specific execution plans.
• Provide staffing for construction activities and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with Vistra project managers, engineers, and commissioning managers.
• Ensure safety and compliance, and manage contractor performance and turnover documentation.
• Represent Vistra in legal and policy matters as needed and support commissioning and testing.
