Job summary

CLMI Group is seeking an experienced OAR II for the Los Angeles Unified School District to oversee all phases of projects from pre-construction through close-out. You will coordinate with designers, district staff, and public agencies to meet budgets and schedules.

The role requires extensive construction/PM experience and a CCM credential or equivalent. Salary ranges from $162,000 to $172,000 annually, with opportunities for credential substitution and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years full time paid professional experience in Construction and/or a combination of Project and Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction.
• Five (5) of the fifteen (15) years should have full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values of more than $20M.
• Education options include a bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management; CCM credential within one year; or CCM credential substitute.
• Preferred: Design Build, BIM, LEED/CHPS experience, OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

• Manages, oversees, and coordinates all facets of the pre-construction, bid and award, construction and close-out phase of all assigned projects.
• Reviews pre-construction documents and submits comments to Designer as necessary.
• Plans, organizes, and prepares reports to upper management with respect to the status and/or progress of the projects.
• Coordinates with public agencies and District staff to comply with off-site work and project needs.
• Manages project budget and schedule to meet District standards and monitors monthly budget status.
• Reviews contractor submittals, construction schedules, RFCs, and change orders for fair pricing and schedule impact.
• Oversees payments, contract provisions, and project close-out with DSA and financials.
