Job summary

Miller & Long Concrete LLC in Virginia—Norfolk area—seeks a project manager to evaluate construction progress and oversee completion, emphasizing contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration.

You will drive profitability and client satisfaction, maintain CPM schedules, manage subcontractors and payments, and coordinate closely with senior management from estimating through turnover and close-out.

Qualifications

• Experience on office government, high-tech, hospitality, healthcare, retail, or multi-family projects.
• LEED accreditation preferred
• Strong coordination, shop drawing review, subcontractor management, budgeting & cost control, and scheduling skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Prolog, Blue Beam, and Smartsheet
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage a project from estimating to turnover to close-out

Responsibilities

• Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards aligned with corporate policy.
• Maintain project financials, forecasting, and profitability while maintaining client relationships.
• Maintain CPM schedule for on-time completion of projects.
• Advise senior management of project progress and critical issues.
• Scope, negotiate, and write subcontract agreements.
• Manage owner progress invoicing, subcontractor and vendor payments, and risk mitigation requirements.
• Understand industry practices and their impact on project activities.
• Oversee day-to-day requirements: procurement, submittals, RFIs, and PCOs.
• Ensure timely completion and close-out of projects
