Job summary

Walbridge in New Jersey is seeking a seasoned project director to provide overall administrative and technical direction for one large, complex project or several smaller ones through subordinate managers. You will interface with client representatives and lead scoping, estimating, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight and safety programs.

Responsibilities include monitoring cost and progress, maintaining official logs, and ensuring adherence to corporate policies while building strong

Qualifications

4 year construction management/engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience.
Extensive (minimum 10 years) experience in commercial construction activities, design, finance, and management.
Strong leadership and innovative management techniques to maximize performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; business-oriented.
Experience reporting to senior leadership and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

Oversee total construction effort to meet design, budget and schedule with stakeholders.
Interface with client representatives, A/E, subcontractors, end users and security.
Set project objectives, policies and performance standards per corporate policy.
Monitor on-site progress and authorize purchase requests and change orders.
Maintain project logs and assist with safety program implementation.
Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interests.
