Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5–10 years of commercial design-build or CM experience.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to allocate resources and manage assets.
• Proven management capabilities and delegation.
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution
• Promote accountability among staff and trade partners as it relates to the project safety policies
• Enforce these policies by actively participating in all safety-related functions
• Manage pre-job planning activities and coordinate the mobilization effort and start-up activities
• Include personnel planning, the project schedule, procurement of trade partners and vendors, deployment of technology and similar activities as defined in the Book of 14
• Job purchasing and contracting is the responsibility of the project manager and is performed in collaboration with the Estimating department and project team
• Be the primary company representative at the project site and point of contact for the owner
• Maintain open communications with all project stakeholders and work to resolve issues in a collaborative and efficient manner
• Monitor project costs and schedule progress carefully
• Conduct frequent reviews of job reports used in the preparation of the monthly margin analysis
• Carefully analyze cost and schedule metrics and initiate course corrections, as appropriate
• Support the PS in the execution of the project quality control plan
• Ensure a QC plan is set up for the project and that a qualified commissioning team is created to support commissioning efforts
• Establish the project quality expectations during the purchasing meeting and then follow-up throughout the QC process
• Responsible for trade partner management and issue resolution
• Look for opportunities to support the project schedule and ensure trade partner success
• Mentor, train and develop salary personnel in all aspects of their careers
• Provide timely feedback and ensure that employees participate in the performance review process.
