Job summary

J. Benton Construction seeks a Project Manager to lead complex Virgin Islands projects from conception to closeout. The PM will coordinate Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors, manage budgets and schedules, ensure safety, and support business development.

Responsibilities include RFI management, procurement planning, and facilitating effective field and office collaboration to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Procore, Sage/Timberline, and Primavera P6; OSHA-10/30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring schedule, budget, and safety compliance.
• Support proposal and preconstruction efforts, including budgeting and procurement planning.
• Serve as primary contact for owners, designers, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Oversee staffing, mentoring, and performance to optimize team effectiveness.
• Lead meetings and manage RFIs, submittals, minutes, and material tracking.
• Monitor financial performance including cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Coordinate with field leadership to align on schedule and safety.
• Drive project controls and scheduling to achieve milestones; complete closeout activities.
