Job summary

iDrill Engineering in San Francisco seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead complex demolition, drilling, shoring and excavation projects in the Bay Area. You will manage schedules, budgets and client expectations, and coordinate with architects, inspectors and site teams to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of PM experience on $3M–$10M projects, strong communication skills and proficiency with construction software such as Procore, MS Project and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years construction-related experience overseeing projects valued between $3M and $10M.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-construction activities as needed
• Act as liaison with the client, architect, consultants, and inspectors
• Interface with site supervisors; look for and implement innovative construction methods
• Prepare and maintain project schedules
• Prepare project documents– client change orders, subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, meeting minutes, letters, memorandums, notices, etc.
• Provide assistance coordinating with onsite contractors in planning and coordinating the stages of connecting new systems with existing utility systems
• Control and monitor subcontractors and monitor their performance
• Manage cost changes, track legitimate change orders requests, compile fair pricing for work and forecast financial results accurately
• Review and expedite submittals and materials
• Monitor critical material items and deliveries
• Maintain quality control and production efficiency
• Maintain immediate and direct responsibility for production phases of the project; resolve production problems
• Oversee that jobsite safety procedures are being followed
• Provide feedback on production costs to the Estimating Department
