A large healthcare organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead workstreams for an in-flight, complex hospital construction and move project. This role will oversee cross-functional teams, project planning, operational readiness, stakeholder alignment, and technology-related project execution
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical technology workstream within a highly visible, large-scale hospital construction and activation initiative. You’ll collaborate with executive leadership, project teams, service line stakeholders, and external vendors while helping ensure technology and operational readiness for a major healthcare environment. The role offers significant autonomy, complex problem-solving opportunities, and exposure to both healthcare technology and large-scale construction programs
Daily Responsibilitities
- Lead the workstreams, including project planning, scheduling, scope refinement, risk management, operational readiness, procurement monitoring, resource allocation, vendor engagement, and execution quality
- Coordinate project managers, service line teams, executive leadership, and external vendors while providing budget, labor cost, schedule, and performance reporting to program leadership
- Serve as a primary stakeholder contact, facilitate cross-functional decision-making, resolve conflicts and critical issues, maintain project documentation, and conduct post-project or phase evaluations
Contract Duration: 12 months +
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in progressively responsible project management or related
- roles Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, schedules, timelines, scope, objectives, and resource requirements
- Proficiency with project management tools and software, including Gantt charts, resource tracking, and reporting systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Teams, Planner, Excel, and Copilot
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects or workstreams simultaneously
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and departments
- Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks
- Ability to manage stakeholder communication and alignment across project teams, executives, and vendors
Desired Skills & Experience
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Healthcare, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Experience working within large healthcare systems
- Experience with hospital activations and/or new building construction
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills
- Detail-oriented with experience creating and maintaining complex documentation, schedules, presentations, and program artifacts
