DAVIS Construction in Rockville, MD is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects across the DMV from preconstruction to closeout. This headquarters-based, full-time role partners with superintendents, clients, and subcontractors to deliver safe, on-schedule, and on-budget projects.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of GC experience, with strong scheduling, cost control, and GMP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a GC.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and cost control in project delivery.
• Experience with subcontractor contracts, buyout, and change management.
• Proficiency with scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day project management from preconstruction through closeout.
• Enforce safety program and conduct site safety walks/audits.
• Assist with estimating, bidding, and GMP development.
• Develop budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasting.
• Lead subcontractor buyout, contracts, and administration.
• Manage schedules, logs, and project controls to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and contract docs.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders and budget revisions.
• Lead meetings and document agendas/minutes.
• Maintain contract documents, as‑builts, and project records.
• Prepare owner billings and review invoices.
• Coordinate with Superintendent on logistics and site coordination.
• Support closeout activities: punch lists, turnover docs, and final reconciliation.
• Use DAVIS quality management systems to ensure compliance.
