Job summary

Independence Construction, LLC is growing our Columbus, Ohio office and seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple construction projects from pre-construction through close-out. You will manage safety plans, budgets, schedules, subcontracts, and client communications to deliver high-quality results.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering and 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction management, with strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering required.
• 5–7 years progressively responsible construction management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with all levels.
• Knowledge of budgeting and expense control; ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Familiarity with different construction delivery systems; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

• Develop Site Specific Safety Plans with Project Team and ensure safety discussions at daily huddles.
• Assist in bid packaging strategies and pre-construction bidding with Estimating.
• Prepare and review project schedules from pre-construction through project close-out.
• Initiate and award subcontracts; issue change orders during pre-construction as needed.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and cash flow; produce monthly job cost reports.
• Liaise with Owner/Architect; coordinate drawings and MEP coordination processes.
• Oversee job close-out; ensure warranties and releases; manage change management.
