Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to provide senior-level leadership across project teams in Birmingham, AL. The role focuses on strategic objectives, profitability, and client relationship management, with emphasis on risk controls and project controls implementation.

The candidate will train staff, manage owner contracts, pursue new business opportunities, and lead project closeout activities, ensuring timely reporting and robust cost oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• 7–10 years of project management experience on large facilities.
• Advanced budgeting, accounting and procurement knowledge.
• Proficiency in scheduling and project controls software required.
• CCM, LEED or OSHA credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to meet objectives, schedule and budget.
• Establish profitability strategies and manage internal costs.
• Oversee owner contracts and risk management daily.
• Foster client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Coordinate pre-construction, change order and cost reporting.
• Ensure progress meetings, documentation, RFIs and submittals are tracked.
