Job summary

Hoar Construction is seeking a Project Manager in Birmingham to oversee schedule, budget, quality and safety across complex projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, negotiate contracts, manage client expectations, and drive procurement and scheduling activities.

The role requires on-site leadership, oversight of submittals and RFI processes, and close collaboration with the superintendent to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing large, complex facility construction projects on-site.
• Knowledge of budgeting, accounting and procurement for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Attend planning and project status meetings.
• Develop and maintain project plan with monthly projections and change orders.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, RFPs, and material procurement.
• Coordinate deliveries and attend owner meetings to communicate performance.
• Lead owner-architect-contractor meetings to monitor status.
