Job summary

Gilbane is seeking a Senior Project Manager to act as the on-site leader, directing large or complex construction projects with accountability for schedule, safety, quality, and financial outcomes. The role sits primarily on the job site with occasional travel for trainings and meetings.

You will guide a high-performing team, manage risks, and coordinate with subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget while upholding Gilbane's core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 8–12+ years of experience in construction management.
• Federal construction experience.
• Experience on $100M+ projects.
• Familiarity with P6 and Procore; CMIC preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develops the project safety plan with corporate safety and provides jobsite leadership.
• Develops the project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements; mitigates high-risk items.
• Manages project financial forecast, notices, and billings to meet contract requirements.
• Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan aligned with contract documents.
• Leads the subcontracting strategy and oversees buyout activities.
• Implements and enforces contract terms; manages risk and drafting of agreements.
• Leads project scheduling with CPM and mitigates schedule impacts.
• Collaborates with business development to align with sales strategies.
