Job summary

Sundt Construction, a leading U.S. contractor, seeks a Project Executive to lead assigned projects in safety, profitability, and timely delivery.

You will champion preconstruction (when assigned) and construction execution, guiding teams, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, and ensuring alignment with the PMP and contract requirements. This senior role requires deep experience with large, complex projects (often $200M+), strong leadership, and solid knowledge of

Qualifications

• Four-year construction degree or equivalent with related experience.
• Proficient knowledge of contract documents, materials, scheduling systems, and cash flow procedures.
• Experience managing large, complex projects with significant dollar volume.

Responsibilities

• Champions the orderly transition of projects from estimating to field with review meetings.
• Completes close-out requirements and punch lists, handles warranty callbacks promptly.
• Coordinates means and methods with the Project Team to ensure profitable execution.
• Maintains professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Establishes the project charter and comprehensive PMP including scope, procurement, schedules, and risk.
• Oversees project success metrics: safety, schedule, profitability, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Manages billings and payment applications to maintain positive cash flow and prompt payments.
• Coordinates CPM schedule development and ensures alignment with procurement schedules and Lean practices.
• Participates in business development activities including client contact, proposals, and negotiations.
• Provides feedback to estimators for future bids and subcontractor evaluations.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Reports and uses reports to manage costs and forecasts.
• Executes purchase orders and subcontracts with attention to insurance, bonds, and liens.
