Job summary

MCL Construction in Omaha, NE seeks a Project Engineer to join the project team from planning through closeout. You will learn the business, own key responsibilities, and work alongside experienced PMs, superintendents, trade partners, and clients.

You’ll take ownership of RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and maintain accurate project documentation and cost tracking. Read drawings, coordinate information between field and office, and ensure tasks are completed with close attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of commercial construction experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or APM (preferred).
• Familiar with the project scheduling process.
• Working knowledge of construction project management software.
• Hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Takes ownership of RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and other project responsibilities.
• Maintains accurate project documentation, cost tracking, and records.
• Anticipates challenges and takes initiative to find solutions.
• Reads and understands drawings and specifications and coordinates information between field and office.
• Owns tasks through to completion with strong attention to detail and communication across the project team.
