Job summary

MCL Construction in Omaha, NE is seeking a Project Engineer who will learn how commercial construction comes together, including scheduling, documentation, cost tracking, and coordination with project leaders.

The right candidate will have a relevant degree, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to read drawings and specifications. You’ll work with scheduling tools and Microsoft Office while building your career with a company that values growth and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering is required.
• 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or APM (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools and Microsoft Office products.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative with field and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, document control, and change management on projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation."
• Track costs and maintain accurate project records.

Your Day-to-Day

Project Support & Documentation

• Assist with scheduling, document control, and change management
• Coordinate subcontractors and material suppliers
• Manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Track costs and maintain accurate project records

• Collaborate with owners, architects, superintendents, and internal teams
• Participate in planning meetings, quality control, and project closeout

The Right Fit

You're a Strong Fit If You

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Bring 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or APM (preferred)
• Can read and interpret drawings and specifications
