Job summary

Admiral Heating and Ventilating in Chicago seeks a Sr. Project Accountant to manage transactions on projects, ensuring revenue and expenses are properly recorded and billings are issued to customers.

The role collaborates with Project Managers to monitor progress, investigate variances, and collect payments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in progressive accounting, at least 2 years in customer service, and construction/HVAC domain experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, engineering, finance or business preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, plus 2 years in customer service.
• Previous work experience in the construction or HVAC industry required.

Responsibilities

• Enter project details in the accounting system and manage project billings.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to generate SOVs and insurance documentation.
• A/R contract & T&M monthly billing; enter invoice data to accounting system.
• A/R collections and lien waivers; support year-end auditing.
• Analyze project revenue and expenses against source documents.
• Assist Project Managers with project questions as needed.
