Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead cost management, procurement execution, and contract management on large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects nationwide.

You will own cost tracking from bid to subcontract, reconcile GMPs, build basis-of-cost files, and drive open-book pricing with Owners while mentoring teams and shaping enterprise processes. A field-based, hands-on approach and 8+ years of experience are required, with travel nationwide.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of procurement, estimating, or construction management experience on large-scale projects.
• Direct, hands-on procurement and subcontract management experience.
• Ability to price changes and manage change orders.
• Proficiency with WBS, LD language, and bid leveling tools.

Responsibilities

• Own cost tracking from first bid through executed subcontract; maintain a live view of values against the project budget.
• Reconcile subcontract values against GMP; communicate variances early for informed decisions.
• Build and maintain basis-of-cost file for every awarded scope.
• Assess cost impact of each change event before approval; differentiate true scope additions.
• Track cost-to-complete across scopes and flag cost trends / rebuy risk.
• Support Owner-facing cost reporting; ensure open-book documentation is accurate.
