Job summary

APSI Construction Management, Inc. seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager for the CSU Long Beach University Student Union Renovation and Expansion, an on-site role coordinating design-build activities.

The project budget is large, with a focus on scope, schedule, and quality across multiple facilities and spaces. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in public works, strong leadership, and proven experience in managing complex renovations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in public works projects
• Design-Build or Progressive Design-Build experience preferred
• Ability to supervise and lead design and construction teams

Responsibilities

• Manage the Design and Construction process through the project lifecycle.
• Lead collaboration on scope, contracting, construction administration and closeout.
• Prepare documentation for post-performance reviews, audits, or inspections.
• Monitor contract budgets and report monthly cash flow with Fiscal Manager.
• Guide design decisions to stay within approved budget.
• Coordinate value engineering and plan reviews with regulatory agencies.
• Provide leadership to the project team; on-site supervision.
