Job summary

MAAS Companies, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the on-site leadership for the CSU Long Beach University Student Union renovation and expansion.

You will manage meeting records, track schedules, and assist the design-build team and campus stakeholders to keep decisions and documents moving. The role requires 4–7 years of experience on complex construction projects, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and on-site availability at Long Beach.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience supporting complex construction projects.
• A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans.
• Clear writing and organized record keeping.
• Availability to work on site at the Long Beach campus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting minutes, track action items and follow up for project meetings.
• Monitor the project schedule and provide regular updates to the team.
• Support design‑build team and campus stakeholders through design, construction and closeout.
• Track RFIs, submittals and change orders.
• Assist with budget tracking and monthly project reports.
• Coordinate with campus stakeholders and the University's project team.
• Conduct site walks and provide field support as needed.
• Assist with closeout and turnover activities.
