Job summary

Judge Direct Placement seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead Public Works and infrastructure projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage multiple projects, develop budgets, and ensure safety and quality while coordinating with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field and 8–10 years of PM experience in public works or infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8–10 years of construction project management with leadership duties.
• Experience managing Public Works, Educational, Municipal or Infrastructure projects preferred.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and team development abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving with a proactive sense of urgency.
• Strong organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of construction means/methods, scheduling, procurement, estimating and cost control.
• Understanding of contract administration, contract law and project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects or large assignments simultaneously.
• Develop project estimates, budgets and contract pricing (GMP and Lump Sum).
• Negotiate subcontract agreements and material purchases.
• Establish procedures to ensure timely buyout, submittals, procurement, and delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subs.
• Partner with field leadership to implement safety plans and procedures.
• Provide timely project reporting to senior management.
• Lead, mentor and supervise project team members.
• Organize and facilitate project meetings with stakeholders and subs.
• Review contract requirements and ensure compliance with obligations.
• Oversee documentation of events: change orders, delays, claims, incidents.
• Lead preconstruction planning and coordination activities.
• Prepare, negotiate and issue subcontractor bid packages.
• Support business development and client interviews/presentations.
• Maintain strict quality control and project excellence.
• Collaborate with estimating teams during bidding activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks, disputes and claims.
• Manage project closeout procedures and documentation.
