Job summary

Lawson Companies in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Project Manager to lead a multi-phase apartment community construction project. You will provide overall direction, coordination, and timely reporting, interacting with designers, subcontractors, and Lawson teammates to ensure safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in fast-paced multi-family or commercial construction, with a degree in engineering/architecture/construction management or PM certification, and

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or PM certification; or 7+ years PM experience.
• Minimum 5 years in the construction industry; preferably with an owner or general contractor.
• Knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and general construction processes.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications; proficient in MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction, oversight, and coordination of construction activities.
• Deliver high-quality housing safely, on time, and within budget.
• Prepare timely, complete reports and communicate with Lawson colleagues, design partners, and subcontractors.
• Maintain project documentation and ownership across scope and contracts.
