Job summary

The Lawson Companies, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to join its expanding construction team in Woodbridge, VA.

The PM will direct and coordinate construction activities for a multi-phase apartment community, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in fast-paced multi-family or commercial construction and familiarity with Virginia Housing.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related PM cert.
• 7+ years of experience in construction PM.
• 5+ years in construction industry, preferably with owner/GC.
• Scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and general construction knowledge.
• Able to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Reliable team player.
• Detail-oriented with multi-priority management.
• Must have valid driver's license and comply with vehicle policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead management of project lifecycle from inception to completion.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships throughout the project.
• Oversee project ownership and governance.
• Own project schedules and critical path.
• Own project budgets and financials.
• Own project documents and records.
• Own contract management and procurement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
