Job summary

Vanir is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, and direction from design through closeout for complex projects in Sacramento. You will supervise project staff and coordinate owners, designers, and contractors to meet scope, cost, and schedule.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture with about 9 years of design-build experience, preferably on CA courthouse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture or equivalent
• 9 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager in design-build
• CA courthouse project experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of project development, design-phase management, cost/scheduling, contracts
• Strong proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; Procore preferred

Responsibilities

• Primary liaison for owner and partner entities
• Develops project procedures and documentation
• Ensures contracts, drawings, estimates and specs meet requirements
• Manages data, communications, and approvals among parties
• Represents owner and project in public meetings
• Manages project controls, cost and performance
• Leads project meetings and documentation
• Directs and monitors construction management teams
• Ensures adherence to safety requirements
• Manages bid phase services
