Job summary

gpac seeks a Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects, guiding project teams, maintaining client relationships, and aligning with executives to drive growth. The role emphasizes accountability, clear communication, and strong coordination across stakeholders.

The PM will manage preconstruction collaboration, interpret plans, mentor junior staff, and oversee procurement, submittals, and cost forecasting to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related field preferred.
• 5+ years experience managing commercial/light industrial projects.
• Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
• Strong financial management skills with end-to-end project oversight.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Mentor less experienced PM staff on daily duties.
• Develop relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement and contract reviews.
• Guide resolution of drawing interpretation problems.
• Manage processes for submittals, RFIs, change orders, and billings.
• Ensure timely owner billings and verify work-in-place quantities.
• Forecast total costs and monitor project budgets.
• Create and monitor project schedules and provide progress updates.
