Shirley Contracting Company, LLC seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee a broad set of construction projects in the Northern Virginia, Maryland and DC areas. You will plan, schedule, supervise, and coordinate work to keep deadlines and budgets on track.

The role requires strong leadership, vendor and subcontractor negotiation, resource planning and safety compliance, with collaboration across engineers, interns and clients in a dynamic regional environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• A team player with leadership abilities.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
• Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise and coordinate all aspects of construction projects to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to schedule and budget.
• Supervise a team of Engineers, Interns, and other team members and provide guidance.
• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.
