Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager in Warren, MI to oversee commercial and industrial fencing, guardrail, gates, and perimeter security projects from award through closeout. You will lead field teams, manage budgets, schedules, and client communications to ensure timely, on‑scope delivery.

The role requires hands‑on leadership of multiple concurrent projects with a strong focus on safety, QA/QC, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing commercial fencing, guardrail, gates, site construction or light civil projects over $30M annual revenue.
• Hands-on field leadership with crews and subcontractors.
• Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects with schedules and budgets.
• Experience improving scheduling workflows, QA/QC, and reporting.
• Proficiency with construction scheduling software.
• Experience using Procore, PlanGrid, Buildertrend or similar platforms.
• Proficiency with Excel for cost tracking.
• Experience using smartphone/tablet field management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead project kickoff, schedule development, resource coordination, and field execution planning.
• Manage multiple active commercial and industrial fencing projects, including crew direction, subcontractor management, and on-site coordination.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, permits, deliveries, and staging logistics.
• Maintain project budgets, cost tracking, change orders, subcontractor agreements, project documentation, and final billing.
• Conduct client meetings, project updates, site visits, punch list completion, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate project handoff from estimating and collaborate with leadership to improve scheduling, documentation, QA/QC, reporting, and installation processes.
• Manage projects throughout the complete lifecycle including award, mobilization, installation, closeout, and final billing.
• Utilize construction management software including Procore, PlanGrid, Buildertrend, or similar platforms, along with Microsoft Excel and mobile field management tools.
